Classes at Lala Hot Yoga are based on the original series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises as selected and developed by Bikram Choudhury.  This is a direct lineage from Kolkata, India and traces back from Bikram to his teacher-guru, Bishnu Ghosh, to Ghosh’s teacher and brother, the Paramahansa Yogananda, and beyond.  Bikram has, as well, trained many teachers, some of whom have made the pilgrimage to study at Ghosh’s College of Physical Education in India and now continue to develop and teach from this same source.


This yoga is deeply therapeutic and designed for all levels of practitioners.  Each posture has a foundation that develops strength and leads to increases in flexibility with all students working at his or her own pace.  Here are just some of the many benefits of this practice…
